When people find out that I own a dive shop and teach people how to scuba dive they say the same thing. Invariably it’s something like “you know I’ve always wanted to do that. To which I respond “well why haven’t you. Again the response is often the same. I just don’t have the time to go to classes a couple of nights a week for a month. Unfortunately a lot of people don’t realize how much the training for scuba certification has changed. With home study the class and pool sessions can be finished in one weekend. Another option is to do your academic training on line at your convenience. Then do only the pool sessions on a weekend. Can’t make formal classes on the weekend? Schedule a private class and do it whenever you wish. With all the options to train out there today there’s no reason why you can’t learn to dive.
